Instruments: Ventura guitar and Newport bass Check out the new lines of instruments for 2005. Both instruments have a body in basswood (new for us) with a new body shape that recall our classic one but with a different feel and character. The back of the body has no rounded corners while the top is lightly rounded making the instrument a little more "vintage" in both look and feel. Both have passive circuits. We invite you to try them because they add a new flavor to our production. The available colors and details are still being defined so please visit our site to see the latest news. New cases: the Professional Line (Ventura and Newport) come with a soft TKL case well-made and well-padded with pockets and straps that allow it to be worn as a back pack. The Custom Line (Taos, Semiacustica, Basic Acoustibass, Custom, Specials, etc) will include the TKL "zero gravity" - a rectangular case that weighs very little but offers protection comparable to a hard case. |

Alex
Masi: During his recent visit to Italy he played at
SHG in Milan, at the clinics in Rome and Milan put on by
Lucky Music and at the finale of the Guitar Competition
"chitarra appendice dell'anima." Usually Alex and I speak in the Veneto dialect together and I just have to tell you Alex is really cool; he's a true Rockstar and a guitarist full of talent who is combining the rock sound with an oriental feel and modern taste - all with an incredible technique. But then there is another Masi that you need to know to complete the picture: you should see him drive in Los Angeles traffic while cursing in Yankee-Veneto, or in an Indian restaurant eating really hot stuff that time that they had to resuscitate me with a fire extinguisher, or during road trips where I discovered that he's a smart and funny person. The part that's even better is seeing him now playing the new Taos Anthracite that will join his Semiacustica. Visit his site to see his latest recordings and projects that he's working on: from classical music to progressive to pure rock'n'roll. |
